Combat Chess

Combat Chess is a chess game with 3D-rendered medieval fantasy pieces, where players play against human opponents and watch animated movement, combat, and check sequences.

Combat Chess adds an imaginative element to the basic game of chess, with rendered 3D graphics and animation sequences during play. It is written to Grand Master standards and supports play against human opponents.

The game includes 3D rendered pieces from a medieval setting with fantasy elements. Pawns become dragons, Knights become real knights, and the Black Knight can turn pawns to green jelly. The Queen also has a threatening head-butt move.

There are over 600 animation sequences, including movement, combat, fidgets, and check moves. A traditional 3D rendered set is also included, and two boards come with the game, each assigned to a different genre of pieces.
