Tactical World War II land warfare game set in Western France during the Allied D-Day campaign, where you command American and German formations in battalion-and-below battles.

Combat Mission: Battle for Normandy recreates tactical land warfare in Western France during World War Two. The base game covers the three months after the Allied D-Day landings, from Operation Overlord in June through the Cobra Breakout in August.

It lets players command American and German Heer formations fighting from the coast into the interior of France. The game includes four campaigns, 21 standalone scenarios, and many Quick Battle maps.

Its equipment list includes 67 vehicles and dozens of small arms and heavy weapons. Features include battalion-and-below combat in 3D, command of individual vehicles, teams, and squads, and systems for morale, experience, leadership, fog of war, spotting, line of sight, command and control, and objectives.

It also supports a hybrid RealTime and WeGo turn-based system, a full editor for maps, scenarios, and campaigns, and single-player, head-to-head, and Play By Email play.
