No Greater Glory: The American Civil War is a strategy game set in 1861 where you play as Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis, assign ministers and leaders, move armies on the map, and order battles during the Civil War.

The year is 1861, and you play as Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis.

The game covers major military, political, diplomatic, and economic aspects of the Civil War, including battles and conflicts over slavery, taxes, inflation, and enlistment of negroes.

Using leading politicians and generals of the time, you assign cabinet ministers, a foreign envoy, and military leaders. You move armies across the map and order generals to take them into battle.

Every game can end differently. As Lincoln, you could lose the election of 1864 and the game, while as Davis, your foreign envoy may win by convincing Europe to recognize the Confederacy.
