Nova Roma

Nova Roma is a city-building strategy game where you lead citizens to found and grow a Roman settlement, managing needs, temples, water, and expansion in the fall of the Roman Empire.

As the Roman Empire falls into decadence and decay, you lead a small band of citizens in search of new lands and begin building a village into Nova Roma, a bastion for what was once good in the Empire.

Build grand temples to appease the gods, meet your citizens’ needs, and shape a society meant to endure for millennia. The city also requires attention to taxation and technological advancement.

Use dams and aqueducts to control water, reshape the land into artificial watersheds and reservoirs, and manage soil fertility and flooding. You must also seek distant resource deposits and build infrastructure to move raw materials and processed goods across large stretches of territory.

As more people arrive, keep them happy and safe with goods such as pottery, wine, bread, and games. Citizens can grow into artisans, gladiators, and thespians while divine intervention and the challenges of water and weather remain ever present.
