Populous™ 2: Trials of the Olympian Gods

God-game set in Greek mythology where you, as Zeus’s offspring, use divine powers and spells to defeat gods and mythical creatures and ascend Mt. Olympus.

As the offspring of Zeus, you seek a place among the gods, but first you must defeat powerful deities in the Greek pantheon. You can call on lightning, fire, tornadoes, hurricanes, tidal waves, and columns of flame, as well as summon heroes to aid your people and plagues to weaken the enemy.

The second installment in Bullfrog’s Populous series follows the path of its predecessor and adds new spells, better sound and graphics, and a character development system for customizing divine powers. The game lets you battle gods and many different mythical creatures across 1000 maps.

It is described as a greatly improved god-game and a way to become omnipotent while learning something about Greek mythology.
