Praetorians

Praetorians is a strategy game set in the Roman Empire, where you command Gauls, Egyptians or Roman legions across Egypt, Gaul and Italy, combining units and formations to become Emperor.

Set amid the political machinations of an emerging Roman Empire, the campaign moves from the dusty battlefields of Egypt to the combat theaters of Gaul and then to Italy, at the heart of the Empire.

The road to becoming Emperor depends on strategy. You must combine your units and exploit enemy weaknesses while facing heavily defended forces, troop types, and war machines with special skills and individual strengths.

Three armies are featured: Gauls, Egyptians, and the Roman Legions. Different unit types and characters have unique abilities and formations, and the action can quickly turn hectic.
