Three Kingdom: The Journey is a strategy card battler with deck-building and path-building roguelike elements. Players collect cards, customize an army, take over territories, and defend their position in fast-paced tactical battles.

The Han Dynasty faces an armed uprising, and the Kingdom is on the verge of disaster. The player leads the army in a last stand against the Yellow Turbans and their generals, choosing a faction, a leading general, and equipment before setting out.

Strategy changes based on enemy types and the locations on the map. Cities can be freed as the army advances, and random events and treachery can affect each run.

The game includes 3 factions, 100 cards, 20 pieces of equipment, 60 kinds of enemies, 20 events, and 9 types of territories. Units include Infantry, Cavalry, and Ranged, each with different tactical roles.
